I’m a writer and content creator who specializes in the world of work.

I’ve spent 20-plus years writing about leadership, learning, and organizational effectiveness. I’ve worked on culture and purpose, talent strategy, and performance management. I’ve created resources to promote innovation, agility, equity, and well-being.

My clients are innovative business leaders, HR practitioners, researchers, and learning and organizational effectiveness teams. I’ve drafted and refined their words, frameworks, tools, and processes as they strive to make work better.

My career began when I stumbled into a job at a PR firm.

A few years later, I learned to interview business leaders, crank out news articles, and write features for a couple trade magazines.

My interest in the people side of work began when I joined the Center for Creative Leadership, where I managed media, wrote articles, and launched their first e-newsletter. I learned about leadership development, the talent needs of organizations, and the evolving role of HR/learning functions. Plus, I worked with some of the most innovative, dedicated people in the field.

Taking what I learned from agency life, journalism, and in-house communications, I started my freelance career in 2000.

Now, I improve the world of work through knowledge, tools, and experiences.

The Center for Creative Leadership has continued to be a client and source of learning for me. In recent years, I’ve done projects for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Workday, the Connected Commons, Juniper Networks, and others.

I’ve written and edited articles, white papers, and reports. Drafted or ghostwritten posts, book chapters, speeches, presentations, and internal documents. Co-created frameworks, courses, and processes.

I work independently – and love a good team.

I’m a disciplined self-starter and consistent communicator. I speak up, push for improvement, and appreciate feedback, edits, and building on ideas.

Above all, I learn what matters to my clients and how you aim to make work better – then support those goals.
